Description
The Agricultural Cooperative of Imeron is a cooperative organization of farmers of the T.D. Kozani. The Cooperative was founded in 1933 by producers of the Imero Serb community of Kozani with the aim of organizing and promoting their agricultural products.
The aim is to safeguard the interests of the cooperatives and to safeguard the high quality of the products produced in Imera. Particular emphasis is placed on the standardization and distribution of these products, such as extra virgin olive oil, table olives and their derivatives.
In 2005, the Agricultural Cooperative of Imero started the construction of the modern olive press which was completed in 2006 and is enriched every year until today with new technology machines, giving even more incentives to the producers for dynamic olive cultivation. Until today, approximately 2,000 acres are cultivated, corresponding to 50,000 olive trees.
The Agricultural Cooperative of Imero for the production of the oil marketed under the name "Olive Oil of Imero" uses as raw materials only products from Imero and especially from its cooperative members, in order to preserve the high quality of the final product. The olive oil is distinguished by a lot of fruit and grass in the taste, with elements of flowers and pear on the nose, but also the excellent quality of oil that has almost zero acidity and is rightly called extra virgin.
